🗂️ Before teaming up…

Xplora, a Scandinavian kids’ smartwatch brand, had gained traction and proven product–market fit in the Nordics with a “fun and trackable” positioning.

Through a key partnership with Deutsche Telekom in Germany, Xplora also launched the world’s first eSIM smartwatch for kids; a breakthrough that significantly elevated brand awareness and category leadership in the region.

Initially brought on to support European expansion, I was later asked to focus on the UK; a high-potential market that had shown slower adoption and required a tailored go-to-market approach.

✅ Customer acquisition cost reduced by 33% via refined messaging and targeting

✅ Scaled UK revenue to £3M through new retail partnerships, channel & DTC sell-through, and recurring subscription growth.

  • Reframed the product narrative to “Your child’s first phone” - a safer, smarter alternative to early mobile phone use.
  • Delivered a full DTC and retail strategy focused on parent concerns, screen time, and safety.
  • Launched performance-driven email and social campaigns to surface key consumer concerns, spark engagement, and drive conversion.
  • Drove account strategy and sell-through at key UK accounts and opened nine new markets across Europe (as part of my first role)
  • Led Xplora’s market entry with Currys, evolving the relationship into a direct retail partnership aligned with long-term growth
  • Built awareness-driving PR campaigns through agency partnerships, product reviews, and influencer strategies.
  • Secured advertising placements in primary school magazines to build brand awareness among school communities
