OPPO a global leader in smartphones with headquarters based in China had significant traction in the UK market on initial entry back in 2019. 3 years later, an IP contract dispute lead to a market regression.
In early 2024 OPPO were ready to return.
As the company sought to re-enter the UK smartphone market, they needed commercial leadership to re-establish the brand with major telcos and execute the launch of a new flagship device.
Timing and traction were critical as new players were emerging fast and gaining traction.

✅ Positioned OPPO as a quality first, design led and fast-scaling challenger brand in the UK telco space.
✅ Delivered £1M+ in Q4 revenue.
✅ Successfully won back the EE account for OPPO after a period of inactivity, re-establishing the brand as a credible and strategic partner in the UK telco space.
✅ Strengthened long-term account positioning by aligning OPPO’s growth goals with EE’s category priorities - laying the foundation for future product rollout success.
✅ Led a successful DTC launch driving £500K in pre-orders.
🔧 Execution Highlights
- Led full EE account strategy taking ownership of the P&L, positioning, quarterly investments, NPI & promotions
- Aligned strategic priorities and negotiated ranging commitments for flagship and mid-tier devices, ensuring OPPO’s continued presence in EE
- Secured quarterly commercial investment plans in partnership with EE’s trading and marketing teams, driving visibility, sell-through, and co-branded initiatives.
- Collaborated cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing & channel ops, to deliver a unified and timely go-to-market approach.
- Acted as a senior point of contact between both organisations, nurturing the partnership and balancing commercial targets with brand-building objectives.
- Led joint forecasting, launch planning, and retail execution in close partnership with EE strengthening commercial trust and ensuring shared success metrics.
- Regularly reviewed performance data and campaign effectiveness, adjusting tactics to optimise both sell-through and retention during key product cycles.
- Orchestrated the UK flagship launch on OPPO’s DTC channel with a CRM-led pre-order campaign.
